How to Buy Earphones for your iPod Nano?

Got a 3rd iPod Nano? Wanna look like the coolest kid this side of the Rio Grande? The earphones of your iPod nano might get old and stop working after a period of time? You will need to buy a new set of iPod earphone if and when this happens. Read on to learn how to buy earphones for an Apple iPod nano.

Step1

Consider your options. There are many types of iPod earphones on the market.Such as: DJ headphones, Ear Bud headphones, Full size headphones, in ear headphones, noise cancellling headphones, sports headphones, wireless headphones...

Step2

Think about what features you want. For example, do you want earphones that fit inside your ears or ones that completely shield your ears? You can even find noise-reduction earphones that do not let any sound in.

Step3

Set a price cap. Earphones are a great investment, but like most pieces of technology, they will eventually get old. You do not want to spend too much money.

Step4

Trim your wish list to a few earphones.

Step5

Read what others have to say about earphones. Check out consumer reports and online reviews. This will give you an idea of what people are saying about the earphones you want.

Step6

Research prices on the Internet and in retail stores.

Step7

Purchase your new earphones from the retailer of your choice.
Note: The iPod nano is identical to other iPods with respect to headphones: Any headphones that use a standard 1/8" stereo miniplug will work with the iPod nano. Those with 1/4" stereo plugs need a 1/8" iPod adapter.
